The story of the Gold Listening Bar begins with Rob Visser, his passion for music and his extraordinary record collection. The idea grew to make not only that collection, but that of many others, available to a wider audience.

 

For our intimate bar, we were inspired by the Jazz Kissa's of Japan. All music is carefully selected from our extensive vinyl collection and played on a vintage high-end audio system.

 

Gold was born out of the desire to create a unique bar in Ghent, a music-centric living space for deep listening, coming together and sharing. We also want to provide a platform for presentations by creatives, labels and musicians. Vinyl and a superior sound are the connecting factors, the music is paramount and covers the whole spectrum of jazz, rock, avant-garde, electronic, brazil, soul... Vibe & atmosphere, that's what it's all about.

 

We serve an exquisite selection of (natural) wines, spirits, local craft beers and non-alcoholic beverages.
